World models receive over $10 billion in investments
Investments exceeding $10 billion have entered the world models space over the past 18 months with participation from researchers including Yann LeCun and Fei-Fei Li. The models supply scalable data for training robotics foundation models. A bubble chart positions World Labs at $1.23 billion, AMI Labs at $1.03 billion, Runway above $860 million, Rhoda AI at $450 million, Decart at $153 million and smaller players alongside NVIDIA’s open-source stack and Google DeepMind contributions. Research engineer Vikash Kumar observed that many systems labeled world models only predict limited aspects of the environment.
