    TLDR

@signulll posted that personal agents will be insanely expensive to run and will require subsidies making Uber and food delivery appear disciplined by comparison. The post states the opportunity exists because frontier labs seek enterprise margins and public market narratives while personal agents need consumer pricing at zero. The account behind the quote is described as pseudonymous and focused on cultural shifts at the intersection of hyper-capitalism and large-scale technology.

@signulllpersonal agents will be insanely expensive to run. they’ll need a level of subsidy that makes uber, food delivery, & the entire gig economy look incredibly disciplined. the opportunity exists cuz frontier labs want enterprise margins & public market narratives but personal agents require consumer pricing (zero), endless inference, & possibly years of loss leading behavior. i have posted about personal agents for over a year now & the trajectory is pretty clear now.
@Austen@signulll No, they’ll be close to free
