OpenRouter's Sentinel security agent looks for signs of account takeovers and key theft

An OpenRouter team member said on October 19, 2026, that Sentinel monitors activity around the clock for anomalies, signs of end-user account takeover and key theft. They said it improves using signals from the company's trust and safety team and reported a 0.05% action reversal rate so far that month. They also said apps can use its protection by implementing OpenRouter OAuth.
