WetRobo's approach to adapting lab robots with coding agents
A robotics researcher describes WetRobo as a system where coding agents observe a wet lab, write and run robot programs, and adapt through physical trial and error.
TLDR
A robotics researcher highlights WetRobo as an example of academia's advantage in using robots for science in physical labs. They say its deployment setup packages robot hardware, demonstrations and an AGENTS.md file, then uses a coding agent to adapt the system after deployment in a new lab. The researcher says this avoids collecting new teleoperation data or training a new neural policy at each site.
