    @AltimorNot meant as a dunk: I genuinely wonder what happens in the brain of someone who says "I'd rather die from a US model?" Is it that they don't actually believe in the dangers? That even if they can conceive of them intellectually, they've not viscerally grasped them yet? Or they just weigh "sounds cool, will get me likes" more than "is good for the world?" They seem to act like this is a Marvel movie. Makes me want to grab them and yell: this is real life! 12,000 years of human civilization! Think for 5min about what's at stake and the suggestions you're making this moment!
