Anthropic researchers published two peer-reviewed papers that were cited in replies to earlier claims of no formal output. The first is the 2022 paper Predictability and Surprise in Large Generative Models, which appeared in the ACM Conference on Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency proceedings.
