    TLDR

Jason Calacanis posted that self-driving needs an extremely slow, boring and safe rollout of AVs over the next 24 months. The investor described perfection as the top three to five providers reaching 100+ AVs each in the top 100 cities. He stressed doing so without fanfare, accidents and, most importantly, without causing massive job loss. The vehicles should simply exist as an option if people choose them, according to the post.

@JasonWhat self-driving needs for the next 24 months is an extremely slow, boring and safe rollout of AVs. Perfection would be the top three to five providers reaching 100+ AVs each in the top 100 cities without fanfare, accidents and, most importantly, without causing massive job loss. There just there as an option if people want them. No big deal. They're safe, and they're the same price as a human, give or take 20% (Waymo going premium, Tesla going discounted, Uber going same price). If you thought banning data centers was peak anti-AI, wait until @GovTimWalz, @GregAbbott_TX, and @GovernorShapiro get lobbied by truck and cab drivers' unions over AVs. That will be a snap ban or capped AV licenses. That's the real war, and it hasn't even started yet. [ Note: $TSLA $UBER and $GOOG ARE generational stock buys at these prices, IMO. I'm long all of them -- and other privtes including @zipline. ]
