Anthropic Calls SFPD Over Threat Against CEO in Claude

Rachyl Jones reported that Anthropic contacted San Francisco police regarding a threat against its CEO. The threat allegedly appeared in a Claude conversation where a user wrote about purchasing an AR-15. A screenshot of the police report circulated with the post. The user in question told the reporter the matter was a misunderstanding. Jones published the account for the San Francisco Standard.
