Nous Research announces Hermes Agent v0.23.0 with a desktop in a browser tab

Nous Research announced Hermes Agent v0.23.0, dubbed “The Hearth Release,” on Nov. 5, 2026. Its release highlights include a desktop in a browser tab and “One gateway for every conversation.”

The announcement also lists group chats with automatic routing, spending limits for paid tools and /Rewind. It does not explain how the gateway handles conversations, which chat platforms support routing or what /Rewind does.

A separate browser change was promised two days later. In a Nov. 7 post, Teknium wrote that the in-app browser would be able to inherit users’ cookies and passwords in the next patch if they opt in. Teknium compared that planned capability with the agent’s own browser tool.

The distinction is timing: the browser-tab desktop appears in Nous Research’s Hearth release announcement, while Teknium described cookie and password inheritance as a next-patch addition. Teknium gave no release date for that patch.
