For AI to respect human dignity and truly serve the common good, responsibility must be clearly defined at every stage: from those who design and develop these systems to those who use them and rely on them for concrete decisions. It must be possibile to identify who must “account” for decisions, justify them, monitor them, and, when necessary, challenge them and remedy any harm caused.

this is an important point - AI systems don’t just reflect how we use them - they reflect the priorities baked into their design and training data from the start

in security terms - those same design choices determine what vulnerabilities get found (or ignored) and who ultimately bears responsibility when harm occurs

true accountability requires transparency at every layer e.g. who designed it, what it optimizes for, and who can be held responsible when things go wrong

AI is treated as pure poiēsis, a neutral instrument evaluated solely by the results it produces, when in reality it reconfigures praxis. AI does not merely produce outputs. It reshapes the way the human agent perceives, classifies, and deliberates about situations. In other words, it encroaches upon the domain of phronēsis.
