Grok bot reportedly helps recover a $2,100 rental deposit

A renter claims a Grok bot helped reclaim a $2,100 deposit withheld for “cleaning and repainting” after a June 2024 move-out. They say the bot assembled their lease, photos and emails, consulted state law and three cases, and prepared a demand letter threatening small-claims action after 10 days. The renter says it set the demand at $6,400 without asking them. According to their account, the landlord wired back $2,100 on day six and asked who their lawyer was.
