Microsoft AI Announces Faster Image Model Than GPT-Image-2

Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, stated that the company's new image model generates images twice as fast as GPT-Image-2 while using 72 percent less GPU power. He called the result the best price-performance score available and credited the team. Suleyman invited users to try MAI-Image. A scatter plot chart titled Quality vs. Price accompanied the post, plotting Image Arena Elo scores against API price per 1,000 images. AI analyst Kim Isenberg replied that Microsoft had developed the best text-to-image model at much better pricing.
