    TLDR

Beff Jezos posted that Anthropic should assign Tom Brown and Sholto to external communications. YacineMTB replied that Anthropic head of compute stated they would not pull resources from Cursor. The same user claimed the company had done exactly that to Windsurf and that Cursor controls all of Anthropic's compute. Additional replies called the conduct slimey and sociopathic while noting Elon Musk's leverage over the partnership.

@beffjezosAnthropic should just put Tom Brown and Sholto in charge of external comms and only let Dario write in the internal Slack Their lives would be much easier
@yacineMTBAnthropic head of compute saying that they won't pull from cursor because it's a bad thing to do. Never mind the fact that they did exactly that to windsurf. And never mind that cursor owns all of anthropic's compute Sociopathic, slimey, evil. They think you are an idiot
@kimmonismusWhen Windsurf was set to be acquired by a competitor, you ruthlessly cut off access. Now Cursor is being acquired by SpaceX, which also owns xAI, and suddenly you are emphasizing loyalty and even expanding support. Thats just dishonest, Anthropic.
@GergelyOroszEither SpaceX and Grok are not competitors to Anthropic (they are!); or, more likely, SpaceX leasing its Colossus 1 data center is more important to Anthropic than to stop offering Claude to SpaceX. SpaceX basically in this enviable position where one of its biggest competitors depends on its compute infra!
@sammcallister@GergelyOrosz This is false? We’d love Google to offer newer Claude models to their users in Antigravity. Our latest models are fully available on Vertex and they choose which ones to expose in their own products.
