USC Institute convenes inaugural summit on ethical AI
The USC Institute on Ethics and Trust in Computing held its first summit. Researchers and industry leaders examined ethical AI development. Google CTO Blaise Agüera y Arcas joined a panel discussing how human brains integrate with AI systems to create collective superintelligence, drawing parallels to evolutionary transitions. The event drew cross-disciplinary input from engineering, law and philosophy.
Just as single cells became multicellular life, 8B+ brains are now joining with AI to form a collective superintelligence.
