Chris Painter@ChrisPainterYupI basically agree with this. I think there are distinct lanes for orgs that “help companies get the job done” on safety, and orgs that help inform the public and governments on “whether the job has been done well enough”, and both need to exist.…

Where the benefits of grant-subsidized safety work are primarily captured by individual frontier labs (eg cyber incidents) we should def reconsider the arrangement. imho there’s plenty of grey area but as it stands we give away a lot of free labor.
