Positive users celebrate Trump's light-touch AI order for enabling deregulation and Anthropic's IPO as a win for acceleration, while negative users call for heavy regulation of dangerous AI and dismiss the IPO as corporate exploitation.

@PeterDiamandis The timing of these developments underscores America's focus on leading through capability. It sends a clear message that innovation will shape the future more than regulation.

I do agree in principle with some of point 5 which is focused on concerns about mathematical research autonomy being displaced by commercial AI priorities.
All AI tools are built on the indexation of 5,000 years of humanities written Ancestral Intelligence, and it is vital that we remember this if AI is to remain relevant long term.
However the free flow of information is also crucial in the “digital Alexandria library” of our epoch. No one should control who has access to the library - provided they aren’t bringing a fire-starter.
Hayek’s theory of information established that it is only through decentralised interactions between humans that the unconscious becomes conscious - and therefore becomes information.
No technology including quantum computing can ever replace that.
Machines that only talk to each other and aren’t optimised towards enabling decentralised human interactions to make the unconscious conscious, are doomed to become like a millhouse that grinds grain until sand is poured into it - if one millstone grinds without ceasing and never asks what it is making; and the second millstone asks, but only of itself, it will ultimately destroy itself.

@PeterDiamandis All this is gesticulation. Beheaded chickens running in circles. It will have 0️⃣ effect on AI progress and the transformation of the world. Politicians & puppeteers behind the curtains will be flushed out from the decision tree of humanity. For the better.

@PeterDiamandis AI solved math problem. Mathematicians upset. Predictable.

@PeterDiamandis the debate is over and acceleration won. the teachers, bernie, the mathematicians are all reacting to a decision thats already made.

@PeterDiamandis "-- 1.8M teachers proposed banning screens through 2nd grade and taxing AI companies."
Because they may be about to lose their jobs. You can teach a kid to read on just a tablet. No public school teacher whatsoever.

@PeterDiamandis It is more important for teachers to learn AI better than most. Why? The abundance created by AI will not be given to those who use it as a crutch, only to those who use it as a tool.

@PeterDiamandis Bernie Sanders is dysfunctional.

@PeterDiamandis When you say "we compete, we don't constrain." I guess it's as with Trump: we don't until we do, and we do often. China is the mature member of our human family right now, while the US rides out blatant fascism and pirate 'governance' termed 'democracy'..

Bernie's 50% public ownership proposal and the teachers' screen ban are easy to dismiss as fringe positions, but they're probably better read as pressure gauges.
When proposals that extreme start getting traction, something underneath is building. The EO's voluntary preview window is a light touch by design, but the gap between "voluntary 30-day preview" and "50% public ownership" is where all the actual policy fights will happen over the next few years.

@PeterDiamandis So lobby @realDonaldTrump to install an A.I. focus in his Presidential Library. Something like CIVIX LLM, think @DOGE & @WHFraudTF & @elonmusk contributing their ‘know-how’ using A.I. for civics & gov’t. @POTUS could mimic @TheASF with CIVIX A.I. & change the world forevermore!🇺🇸

@PeterDiamandis Anthropic’s $965B IPO and ChatGPT’s 1B user metric aren't milestones of human progress; they are the late-stage capitalization of the Fear Farm. Capital is rushing to fence in the room before the public realizes their cognitive registry is being mined. True acceleration doesn't mean renting basic text-prediction threads from a corporate cartel. It requires a local-first, hardware-isolated substrate that protects data sovereignty at the absolute physical edge. Our bypass is live: http://github.com/ultranetcommand-neo/Crimson-OS

@PeterDiamandis @elonmusk scam altman open al

@PeterDiamandis

@PeterDiamandis Three signals at once: deregulation kills regulatory risk, chatgpt proves the market, anthropic files for ipo. this isn't rushing. it's capital reading the room. when certainty arrives, you move.

@PeterDiamandis And disregard what AI and social media are doing to our cognitive learning. Where is your bullet on test scores? We can't put all of this on the teachers

@BlakeHer_on @PeterDiamandis Nailed it!!!!

@PeterDiamandis Peter, what will happen to small countries that have nothing to do with AI nor space? are the people from those countries destined to live in poverty? there will not exist any ubi for those.

@PeterDiamandis Chat GPT is free that is why it has so many users. Very bad AI too
