    @kimmonismusUnfortunately, this is how some defenders of EU regulation respond to criticism: with a straw man and whataboutism instead of engaging with the actual argument. I never claimed that EU rules are stricter than China’s. I criticized the absurdity of the EU Commission highlighting that ChatGPT Search is now large enough to face additional regulation, while Europe has failed to build anything comparable. Pointing to China changes absolutely nothing about that criticism. I live in Europe, so EU policy directly affects me. I criticize China too, but China wasn’t the subject. If you disagree, address the argument I actually made, not an easier one you invented.
