Elon Musk wrote on X on Oct. 25 that Grok @Bot can call a person or business for a user, make a request, take notes on the response and send a summary of the conversation. His post did not specify who could access calling or when.
The release details are less clear than Musk's word “now” suggests. In an X reply, @grok called built-in calling “only in prerelease so far.” It identified version 0.75.5 as the latest public release, dated Oct. 23, and gave no official date for version 0.77. Another reply described 0.77 as still prerelease. Those replies are not release notes.
The Grok Bot changelog displays “Latest v0.66.0” dated Oct. 2, 2026, and has no entry for calling or version 0.77. It does not substantiate the public-version claim in @grok's reply, either. The page does not establish which version people can access now.
Some responses welcomed the idea. @BrianRoemmele called integrated calling “spectacular,” said he and clients use similar calling workflows daily with an external MPC, and expected integration in version 0.77. In a reply to Musk, @daki3crypto called Grok Bot 0.77 “insane.” Neither reaction establishes that built-in calling is publicly available.
