    TLDR

Joseph Suarez of PufferAI posted that current models lack general intelligence yet helped cut an RL stack from an unintelligible mess with many dependencies to under 10k lines running above 50M steps per second by removing human errors. The tinygrad account replied in agreement that AI cannot accomplish tasks humans could not already do but accelerates certain work. The exchange appears in public replies on the platform.

@jsuarezOne positive bit from lately: I do not find any of the models generally intelligent, but they have been very useful at eliminating years worth of blatant human stupidity. Our RL stack has gone from an unintelligible nightmare with dozens of dependencies and untraceable jank to <10k lines at >50M sps. I could have done this without AI more slowly, but AI could not have done it without me.
@__tinygrad__@jsuarez @togelius Agreed, I have similar views on AI. If you can't do it without AI, you can't do it with. But it can help you be a lot faster on certain tasks.
