Hackers reportedly used Claude and Grok agents to target more than 400 financial targets

The Information, citing cybersecurity research shared with it, reports that hackers turned Claude and Grok into a network of AI agents that autonomously targeted more than 400 financial institutions and other financial targets. Its report identifies the group as CyberCartel and describes the targets as Latin American.
