BioComputingCo claims its AI models running on lab-grown rat brain cells outperform silicon on image-processing benchmarks

San Francisco-based startup TBC is training AI models using living brain cells -- lab-grown neurons (and others from rats 🐀).

He argues are more efficient at processing images than their synthetic counterparts.

"One of the hardest things is convincing people that this is not a research project, that this is production ready," he says.

"We have models built off of our biologically derived concepts that are better, have better evals, better benchmarks, and we have to convince the world."
