@effthealgorithmAt my last women’s health checkup, my care provider (at a women’s clinic) asked me to wish an AI consent for not only Scribe but also facial recognition to ensure patients checking in matched their records. That prompted me to ask how they’d know and — surprise — it turns out they’d been using it for a while but their legal department had recently insisted on explicit consent. Which I did not give. TL;DR I switched health providers to one that doesn’t use AI and encourage everyone to find out if their doctors do so you can make an informed choice.
