OpenAI Gaining Share from Anthropic Among Startups

Immad Akhund, CEO of Mercury, posted that Q1 marked peak Anthropic market share in startup land. He noted one in three startups use Mercury and that the Sol model release plus Codex improvements are shifting usage back toward OpenAI. Tae Kim, a tech journalist, replied that all data points in one direction for the third quarter, with OpenAI gaining share against Anthropic.
