Four proposed conditions for AI to truly improve itself

In remarks shared by a16z, Databricks’ Ali Ghodsi says AI would truly improve itself if each successive model needed fewer resources and GPUs, took less time to train, became more intelligent and kept making those gains. He says AI already writes “90-some percent” of Databricks software, but writing code is different from meeting those conditions. Even if AI met them, he says, he does not know whether that would lead to superintelligence.
