    TLDR

A user argues that Claude can increasingly use tools shaped to the task without an extra layer of indirection. For data storage, they suggest considering whether a database API is a better fit than a file system.

They say Claude Managed Agents strikes the right balance: its sandbox is optional and can be started independently of the rest of the agent loop. The user also reports that an older project focused on Bash tool calling worked well after they ported it to Claude Managed Agents.

@trq212I think Claude Managed Agents strikes the right balance here, the sandbox is optional and can be spun up independently of the rest of the agent loop. I recently ported an old project that was focused on bash tool calling to CMA and it worked well!
