Dark matter as an alien supercomputer: a speculative idea

In a discussion about whether advanced civilizations would visibly spread through the galaxy, one commenter suggests dark matter might be an alien supercomputer.

    TLDR

One commenter argues that greater energy efficiency has never stopped humans from spreading—it only makes them want more energy—and questions why a civilization millions of years ahead would be different. In reply, another speculates that dark matter could be alien “computronium”: a vast supercomputer made of subatomic particles that don't interact with light.

@DavidSHolzthere are lots of things which could be argued to be visual evidence of advanced civilization, for example, why is like 80% of the mass of the Galaxy missing so badly that we have to call it dark matter? maybe it's all alien femtomachine computronium (a vast supercomputer made of subatomic particles that don't interact with light and are otherwise not detectable by us except by there missingingness)
@micsolanaI guess it's possible everything we see beyond our solar system is some kind of very advanced hologram? and the machines are waiting to kill us? but why? curiosity? have they developed pro-humanoid ethics? are we in *their* sandbox rn, as they run a safety experiment?
