This will probably generate a ton of false positives and *it might not matter*. Right now false positives are a nightmare because the cost of monitoring is so high that they provoke the same consequences as a true finding: medical appointments, biopsies, exploratory surgeries. If the cost of monitoring drops to a cup-of-coffee subscription level that does not involve an escalating chain of doctor attention and insurance costs, then resolving a false positive becomes a trivial exercise: just go back to the spa for a few weeks, get your 60 second ultrasound, relax in the sauna, and have AI compare your twenty new scans and tell you whether the thing in you is growing/changing or benign.
This may explode everything about how we treat medicine and I am ready for it.
this is actually incredible
a full body ultrasound scanner that takes 60 seconds instead of spending an hour in an MRI tube, without radiation, hospitals or a $2000 bill
soon you’ll just walk into a health spa, order a coffee, step into the pod, and walk out with a 3D map of your body
the future is finally starting to look like the future
