‘Oopsie data’ aims to build an open dataset of failed robot attempts
RoboPapers says unsuccessful robot attempts are being discarded, despite their value for world-model and reward-model research.
TLDR
RoboPapers says almost all robotics data shows successful behavior, while research on world models and reward-model learning needs examples of failed attempts. It says the team behind “oopsie data” aims to collect the first large, community-driven, open-source dataset of such failures and has an upcoming workshop on the topic.
