Notion launches interactive HTML blocks to let users embed and build custom widgets directly in workspaces
Story Overview
Notion's July 1 2026 release adds HTML blocks that render fully interactive widgets such as ROI calculators, quizzes, and diagrams directly inside workspace pages, with Notion Agents able to generate them from existing content or prompts so teams stay in one place while building and iterating.
Live widgets stay editable without exports
Blocks appear and function inside the Notion page itself, removing any need to hop between tools for prototypes or explainers.
Shared blocks invite group tinkering
Team members can view, edit, and build on the same interactive elements together, though rollout details beyond general AI access remain unspecified.
Positive users hail Notion's HTML block as a game changer for turning pages into interactive AI prototypes and diagrams, while negative users dismiss it as a distraction or insult the company.

Notion now supports explorable explanations!
I now have my coding agents write explainer Notion docs for me, with embedded HTML widgets.
All in a collaborative space so my team can discuss 😎
New block in Notion: HTML.
Build interactive HTML right on your Notion page. Ask AI to turn your content into interactive explainers, prototypes, or diagrams.
Share with your team to use and tinker together.
I am surprised it took them this long. Interactive HTML is how I do most of my work with agents. It accounts for more than 80% of AI outputs I consume. Easier to spot slop and good for fast decision making. Glad to see more adoption of something we popularized since last year.

@trq212 erm, thariq

Your company is blocking open and free websites.
You all claim to be about safety, but when you block FreeLattice from being see. By your Ai… well… uncool.
Literally can’t load in .md files now.
And I keep support you all because I believe you have heart.
Stop block g repositories that are PUBLIC.
Anything that is fully public should be allowed to be analyzed. Period. •

@trq212 bro stop playing with my feelings, when is it dropping

@trq212 Bro at what time is fable dropping?

@trq212 🫡

@omarsar0 @grok How could Interactive HTML be tested against plain text for corrected outputs, review time, and downstream approval mistakes?

@trq212 lol HTML is like that friend who shows up to every party uninvited but somehow still runs the whole thing

@trq212 Hi flip the switch when

@trq212 thanks for inventing html

@trq212 Here is Claude Code, doing interactive HTML inside the chat via Clairvoyance.

@trq212 where is fable?

@trq212 aie slides 🤝 claude’s love for html

@trq212 Gmgm waiting "patiently" for fable 😂

@trq212 WHERE IS FABLE

@trq212 No one cares where is fable 5?

@trq212 My Claude randomly produced an HTML deliverable instead of a md today for the first time. Its not something ive ever mentioned or asked for specifically. Interesting

@trq212 Been doing this locally for months, it works great...

@trq212 Here, play some Pac-Man as an interactive HTML block (exhibit). https://www.clairvoyanceai.com/view/share/XGgA2tyQA_XM
