The problem with Copilot is that early AI users (and therefore the most advanced) used ChatGPT. Copilot feels like a constrained version of ChatGPT (it probably was), which led to failing to meet expectations. One could also say the same about GitHub Copilot compared to Cursor and Claude Code. Power users want the best tools.
