    @tunguz announces research director role on AI workforce commission

    @Brendan_McCordThis week I joined the new Commission on AI and the Future of the American Workforce, a bipartisan effort hosted by @AEI and @urbaninstitute and co-chaired by @SpeakerRyan and @GinaRaimondo Here are three questions on my mind as the commission kicks off: 1. AI could make employers less dependent on workers. What would it take to make workers less dependent on employers? 2. How do we prepare people to earn a living without reducing their education to training for whatever machines cannot yet do? 3. How do people develop and sustain independent judgment when they can do their jobs better by deferring to AI? At @cosmos_inst, we work to renew the foundations of a free society in the age of AI, and these questions connect that work to the commission's.
