Guillaume Verdon, posting as @beffjezos, wrote that a model qualifies as frontier only if it originates from the Effective Altruist region of the San Franciscan intellectual sphere. Otherwise, he stated, it is simply a sparkling token machine. The same post identifies him as founder of Extropic AI and the effective accelerationism movement and as a former Google quantum computing engineer.
