Prime Minister Carney announced the launch of Digital Transformation Canada. The move combines existing organizations under a single digital and AI mandate. The stated goal is delivering better, faster and more reliable government services while making Canada more productive, competitive and resilient. Aidan Gomez, co-founder and CEO of Cohere who co-authored the 2017 Transformer paper, posted that the news is very good for Canada. He added that unifying the organizations is exactly what is needed and that Patrick is the right person to lead the effort.
