ChatGPT and Codex to share token usage limits on Plus, Pro and Business plans starting December

Starting in December, ChatGPT and Codex will draw from one token allowance for Plus, Pro and Business plans; Instant chat won't count. OpenAI says more advanced models and complex tasks generally use more of that allowance, but expects most users won't need to wait for resets more often than they do now. Users who reach their limit can wait for a reset, upgrade or buy credits to continue using eligible features.
