Elon Musk outlines future gift-shopping role for Grok bot

On Nov. 1, 2026, Elon Musk quote-posted venturetwins' account of asking Grok @bot for a surprise gift. “Grok @Bot will research gifts that your friends and family would love and buy them,” Musk wrote. His post did not give a launch date or say whether that capability was available to other users.

In an Oct. 31 post, venturetwins said they had asked the bot the previous week to surprise them. The user said it could use up to $100 from their X Money account and asked it to consider their tweets and conversations when choosing a present. “Look what arrived today! Even included a Halloween surprise 🎃,” venturetwins wrote. The post did not name the gift or say how much, if anything, was spent.
