    TLDR

Evan Hubinger retweeted a post asserting that AI safety warnings have never been a PR move. A second post by Alexander McCoy on X described researchers quitting jobs to spend remaining time with families or donating 90 percent of their net worth to address perceived extinction risks. McCoy contrasted these actions with the lack of similar behavior during NFT hype. Both posts appear only in the supplied social media evidence with no independent corroboration.

@EvanHubRT @spencerschiff_: @Tyler_A_Harper IT HAS NEVER BEEN A PR MOVE. This would be completely obvious to you if you bothered to put the tiniest…
@AlexanderMcCoy4AI scientists are doing things like quitting their jobs to “spend the time remaining” with their families and writing poetry, or immediately dumping 90% of their net worth into donations to try to stop what they think is coming. That wasn’t happening with, like, NFT apes.
@AltimorIt's actually hard for me to think of a take that would discredit a thinker more than "people in ai only say their invention may kill everyone [including their own families] in order to brag / gather attention"
