Researchers Push AI Integration in Peer Review for ICML 2026

Thrilled to see our argument for inclusion of AI in peer review as oral (~1%) in the position paper track at #ICML2026!

AI has crucial potential to accelerate scientific progress, but the existing process is already overwhelmed. AI scales not only insights but also number of papers (including fluff).

This will not be straightforward and it has to be done in order to enhance human reviewers and chairs - rather than replace. But I deeply believe there is no way around AI in the review process!
