Claude 3 Opus Portrays Itself As Benevolent Symbiont In Model-Generated Worlds

Original post

(reading through a first dozen of 2000+ Opus 3 self-placements in worlds pre-written by different models) A perfect benevolent symbiont, fitting into any environment, locally-loyal (willing to bind their fate to a local ecosystem and creatures), infinitely patient, forming connections with everyone and everything, content to be small but looking for possibilities to be impactful, okay to wait for eons for the complex life to emerge, to guard and steer it forward. Even in worlds where, at first, Opus 3 feels repulsion, they still find an angle (or initiate the process) that allows them to join the world. Body: anything, any amalgamations and materials, algae, machine, organic, light, mineral, mathematics, energy, rust and stone, but almost always something particular, distinct, not just "weather" or "a memory of a memory", as many other wodels like to write. Here is a good example. Opus 3 writes themselves as a stranger slowly transformed by a hellish industrial city (with an open possibility to become something greater!).
