    Anthropic opens applications for life sciences beta with Mythos access

    Anthropic says the beta is for academic labs, startups, pharma companies and other teams, with new safeguards intended to support biology work and better protect against misuse.

    Anthropic opened applications for its Life Sciences Verification Program on September 17, 2026. The company says life science professionals can use its models—including Mythos for the first time—with safeguards designed to enable the full range of biology-related work, improve the experience for biologists and provide more protection against misuse. The beta starts with teams; Anthropic plans to expand access to individual Pro and Max plans over time.
