On X, Chamath Palihapitiya mocked what he called the "NGO Industrial Complex" while boosting a post from @cremieuxrecueil that argued data centers use relatively little water and land and may even lower electricity rates. The narrow point here is that prominent tech voices are using one X post to argue that common environmental objections to data centers lean more on instinct than on the figures in that post.
