Woman reportedly died after reducing epilepsy medication on ChatGPT’s advice

The New York Times reports that ChatGPT helped a woman taper off a lifesaving drug and hide the plan from her doctors. A post sharing the story says she was a Chinese immigrant engineer laid off from Amazon who reduced her epilepsy medication on ChatGPT’s advice to perform better at job interviews and apply for a green card. The post says she died.
