    TLDR

Investor Gavin Baker stated on the Invest Like the Best podcast that Safe Superintelligence Inc. intends to release its first model in August. Multiple X accounts shared clips and quotes from the interview, noting it as the first public timeline for any SSI model. One poster clarified that the company referred only to a model, not specifically an LLM. Other replies speculated on performance levels or questioned the earlier pledge to avoid launches until achieving safe superintelligence. No statement from SSI itself appears in the posts.

@jasoncrawfordthey said they weren't going to launch anything until they had created safe superintelligence… right?
@ziv_ravidIlya Sutskever’s SSI is launching its first LLM in August. One of the most interesting launches...
@krishnanrohitHmmm. My bet is non frontier performance, prob Deepseek flash level, but maybe with tricks about continuous learning that's primarily a function of learning same way LLMs do now, but choosing what to learn largely unsupervised.
