Personal AI beyond the chat window: delegating work to agents

OpenAI’s Dots got a user thinking about agents that remember what matters and keep working while people are away.

    TLDR

A user says OpenAI’s new Dots prompted them to imagine personal AI as something people delegate work to, then check back on later. They envision an agent that remembers what matters, connects to tools and brings back finished work—a workflow they say feels more like having software employees than using a chatbot.

@probiex007OpenAI's new Dots made me think about where personal AI is actually heading. Not another chat window. An agent that keeps working when you're gone, remembers what matters, connects to your tools and brings work back when it's finished. The interesting shift is from: I need something → open AI to I need something → delegate it → come back later That second workflow feels much closer to having software employees than using a chatbot.3h
