    @iScienceLuvra lot of people seem to have this immediate aversion to this, complaining that it is immoral because they feel it might be conscious. how is this more conscious-like than an LLM? If you have a problem with this, do you also have a problem with how LLMs are being treated?
    @teortaxesTexThis is where we start to need to actually talk about computational functionalism and substrate independence, I'm afraid. The upload of a fly is, by construction, a functional equivalent of the fly's brain (losses aside). Is it as conscious as a fly? Why or why not?
