Sooth Labs launched with co-founders Russ Salakhutdinov, Yaser Sheikh, Chuck Hoover, David LaRose, and Shih-En Wei. The company builds AI models for foresight and event prediction via time-series analysis of real events to support high-stakes decisions under uncertainty. Felicis Ventures led the seed funding round, with Aydin Senkut and Feyza Haskaraman directing the investment alongside AI community participants.

To keep up, foresight must become a piece of infrastructure.

Yaser Sheikh and @rsalakhu are building that foresight engine, powered by a time series model that deciphers and weighs real events, signals, and probabilities. This is the next leg in the race to AGI: beyond LLMs and their focus on next-token predictions, beyond coding and chatboxes.

Sooth Labs is going after something incredibly ambitious: building a world model for global foresight. This is a problem almost no one gets right today.

Most systems we rely on are either reactive, narrow, or static. They miss second order effects, fail under distribution shifts, and cany reason across domains like geopolitics, economics, climate, and technology at once. The result? We consistently get surprised by events that were, in hindsight, predictable.

That gap has real consequences. Capital gets misallocated, policies get designed on incomplete assumptions, and organizations operate with fragile mental models of the world. We’re optimizing locally while the system behaves globally.
