Valar Atomics hosted a live stream titled WATTS NEXT from its Ward 250 test reactor in Utah's Emery County, co-presented with NVIDIA to highlight how the helium-cooled microreactor can directly feed power to AI hardware like Blackwell chips while exploring a future 30 MW data center build with near-zero water use.

The event showed the small test reactor running NVIDIA hardware on-site for the first time, underscoring how modular nuclear units might ease the power crunch for AI training clusters without relying on distant grids.
While a 30 MW Utah facility is under discussion, details on timelines, exact reactor counts, and whether the full gigasite vision materializes remain unclear from the stream itself.
Many users praised Valar Atomics and NVIDIA's nuclear-powered AI data center plans for advancing American energy and space exploration.

Soon? 🤔
brb installing a nuclear reactor in my backyard to run some TSUs instead of a DGX Spark
Such a great day. Everything is finally happening.
I stood next to a working reactor that was built in <9 months that was powering an Nvidia GPU.
SB 79 is live today in California, meaning we can build very tall buildings next to major transit stops in the biggest cities. It took 8 years to pass that bill.
Slow, slow, then fast all at once.

@valaratomics Valar powers an NVIDIA GPU

@valaratomics Claiming there’s zero water used to cool the AI data center is a flat out lie. You have to put some water in to start. But worse, you’re dumping heat into the environment at Hiroshima bomb of heat a day. That’s not good for the environment!

@valaratomics Waterless datacenters and energy. That's terrific. Next, the energy can be used to extract water from the air. Are you working with Emery Telecom to provide fiber connectivity?

@valaratomics love it:

@Suhail Proud to be check 1. Can’t believe it’s happened so fast. We built this on faith https://jfredrickson.com/day-2008-and-from-running-on-a-dream-to-running-on-our-reactor/

@valaratomics God bless the USA and the valor team. 🇺🇸⚛️⚡️🚀💪

@valaratomics Let's go, Froh!

@valaratomics WTF. SW Utah > SE Utah 🤣

@valaratomics This is so important for American energy and exploration into space!

@valaratomics What’s the cumulative impact of having six reactors on the same site? Are you using categorical exclusions through the DOE to deploy this?
