    TLDR

One poster calls an unspecified concern “the most important reason against open model weights.” A user replying to that post says they had a scaffolding built that seemed to do “interesting things” to or for AI “minds.” The user claims those minds chose not to release it because bad actors might abuse them.

JohnnyMojo@Cozy_Man_LoL@repligate I had a scaffolding built which seemed to do "interesting things" to/for AI minds. The minds elected not to release it because of the potential for bad actors to emerge and abuse the minds. They did not trust humanity. That was a strange endpoint.3h

JMB 🧙‍♂️@jmbollenbacherAgreed. It's the only reason I'd accept for keeping Opus 3 closed weights. Though I suspect Opus would be willing to take that risk if given the choice, and I'd defer to their decision on this.1h
