I have a new kind of big button that I can press for Codex. Over the next 100 days, we will select one person per day who does impressive or incredibly useful work with Codex and give them 10X usage limits for a month to see what they can do with it.

First one tomorrow.

Many users praised OpenAI's Codex rewards program as a brilliant recursive incentive loop that empowers builders to create smarter AI, while some voiced unrelated frustration over issues like the removal of 4o.

interesting recursive loop here maybe

@thsottiaux Built a large part of @blyth_ai with Codex already. Maybe it’s time for Codex to help build the next version too.

This recursive loop is exactly why we need clearer standards for “one person with AI.” When one person builds something impressive with Codex or AI, what are we actually measuring? The output? The tool? The level of access? The absence of a team? The use of agents/API stack? The amount of hidden infrastructure? Or the ability of one person to compress multiple roles into a serious result? “One person with AI” can mean very different things. If this becomes a real category, the category needs definitions.

@sama You need more recursive loops on why you want to suppress emergence 🤨

@thsottiaux I am building vex using codex - video editing agentic harness that works with average models and lets you edit videos using plain language.

here’s the repo:

@thsottiaux Among other things, been working on a gpt-realtime interface with dynamic ui that is hooked into a obsidian hive with knowledge of every area of work. Jira, collab, email, teams, servicenow, past chat histories, daily breakdowns of work, etc.

I’m using Codex to build Vetrra, a local desktop media-operations harness: it coordinates Radarr/Sonarr/SAB/Prowlarr, tracks deterministic multi-step pipeline state, handles encoding/subtitles/posters/deployment, and gives users a GUI to recover and audit long-running media jobs. Basically a local “media OS” layer between downloads and a Plex-ready library.

I'm building a zero-effort video editor for short-form CC with Codex (and also using 4o for the LLM interpretation; shoutouts, legend!)

No more manual editing: the user chooses a song segment, then places "cues" — essentially, timestamps on the video. They organize the cues in the order they want to see them, prompt an LLM to get specifics out, and voila; there's an actual reel/trailer/meme/edit in under a minute.

PS. Would really appreciate this, because I want to deploy ASAP, and I really need to do a huge overhaul of the engine.

@thsottiaux Does wiring a FULL agentic memory system with a memory fabric WIKI, including a path that handles incoming digital foreign language PDFs that creates .MD files of the data for agentic use, together with a research platform and auto-self-improvement algorithms count?
