Meta gives every user a virtual machine for their agent, one user says

The user describes 2 virtual CPUs, roughly 8GB of RAM and 100GB of storage per machine, separate from 100,000 free tokens per week for AI model use.

    TLDR

A user praises what they describe as Meta’s offer of a virtual machine for every user’s agent, alongside a weekly allowance of 100,000 free tokens. They argue that Meta’s advertising business is key to backing this consumer offering—and that the resources needed to compete help explain why rivals are seeking much more funding.

@signulllpretty remarkable that meta gives every user a 2 vcpu / ~8gb ram / 100gb storage vm for their agent to use. & this compute is outside of inference which is 100k free tokens per week (not easy to burn through). this is why you’re seeing consumer competitors try to raise a lot more money & there are only a handful of players that can even compete, i.e. even openai can’t remotely allocate any of this to any of the non business / unpaid users. turns out having an already insane ad business to back this up for consumers is key.
