Cognition reportedly weighs a new funding round after $70B–$80B valuation offers

Techmeme, citing Business Insider, reports that AI coding startup Cognition is weighing a funding round before the end of 2026 after receiving offers valuing it at $70 billion to $80 billion. A separate post says talks are early and terms could change. It says Cognition raised more than $2 billion at a $48 billion valuation in September.
